Pastor Mike Whitsey is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. Pastor Mike’s life was ordained by God long before he ever knew. On Monday, May 30, 1988 in a cold prison cell, the Lord manifested his presence and Pastor Mike suddenly received JESUS as his Lord and Savior and he became“born again”. Pastor Mike was serving a 66 year sentence in the Tennessee State Penitentiary for a lifetime of crime and drugs. After being saved, his hunger for the word of God and fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ led him to minister to others in prison. In December of 1990, God granted him favor and he was released from prison after serving only 41/2 years of a 66 year term. After his release from prison, Pastor Mike worked as a state employee at the Capital Building in Nashville, Tennessee. While performing his daily occupation, he met his help mate, the lovely First Lady Michele Whitsey, and later united with her in holy matrimony. The Lord blessed them with two fantastic children First Daughter Angel, and Master Mike Jr. In August of 1993, Pastor Mike and First Lady Michele started their first of four successful businesses. In six short years their companies have expanded throughout 5 different cities and employing over 100 employees. God has continued to grant him and his family favor, wisdom, and insight. Pastors’ Mike and Michele Whitsey founded Abundant Life Christian Center in August of 2000. This church has grown to over 500 members in multiple locations. They have also be blessed with a restoration center and a television broadcast that reaches 3 states; Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky. Pastor Mike has been a guest on TBN’s “Praise the Lord” program and other networks preaching the message of what God requires of his people, the “how to” of performing it and the benefits of doing so. Pastor Mike’s heart desire is to win and disciple the lost and to glorify God in the earth through Jesus Christ. Abundant Life Christian Center is honored to be led by a Man of God that gives so much to build up the Kingdom of God.
